Grainfather Glycol Chiller Adapter Kit (GCA) without cooling coil – for jacketed tanks

Temperature control is one of the most important factors in making high-quality beer. The Grainfather Glycol Chiller Adapter Kit (GCA) extends the use of the Grainfather Glycol Chiller, so that almost any fermenter or tank can be connected to and temperature controlled by the glycol chiller.

This version comes without a cooling coil. With it you can use the Grainfather GC2 Glycol Chiller or GC4 with a fermenter that has an external cooling jacket, such as a Brewtools Unitank. The GCA then controls cooling (circulating coolant) or heating (with the included heat mat) as needed.

The GCA can be connected to the Grainfather app, so you can monitor and control the fermentation temperature on the go.

What is the difference between the GCA with and without a cooling coil?

The version without a coil is for tanks that already have an external cooling jacket. The coolant then circulates through the jacket, and you do not need a coil inside the tank.

Which glycol chillers can I use?

The GCA is made for the Grainfather Glycol Chiller, such as the GC2 and GC4.

Can the GCA also heat?

Yes. A 30 W heat mat is included, and the GCA switches heating or cooling on as needed.

Can I control the temperature from my phone?

Yes. The GCA connects to the Grainfather app, where you can monitor and adjust the fermentation temperature.
