Brewing machines – all-in-one systems for homebrewers and breweries
A brewing machine mashes, sparges and boils the wort in a single vessel while the controller holds the temperature for each mash step. Here you will find brewing machines from 10 to 70 litres from Grainfather, Brewtools, Speidel, Brewster and Brew Monk for homebrewing, brewhouses for microbreweries, and accessories and spare parts for the machines.
How to choose a brewing machine
- Batch size: Most homebrewers choose a machine of around 30–40 litres. For bigger batches there are machines of 50–70 litres.
- Power: Homebrewing machines run on standard 230 V. The Brewtools B100 and B180 need two separate 230 V circuits, and brewery brewhouses usually run on 400 V.
- Control: the Grainfather G40, Brewster Dominator 40, Brew Monk B70 and Speidel Braumeister PLUS have Wi-Fi or an app. The Brewster Beacon 40L is controlled from its own screen.
- Chilling: Grainfather ships with a counterflow chiller. For other machines you add an immersion or counterflow chiller, such as the copper Project Brew Wort Chiller.

Frequently asked questions about brewing machines
Which brewing machine suits a beginner?
A 30–40 litre machine with ready-made mash programmes is a good starting point, such as the Grainfather G30v3 or Brewster Beacon 40L. Both run on standard 230 V and handle a typical 20–25 litre homebrew.
What else do I need besides the brewing machine?
You need a fermenter with airlock, a chiller if the machine has none, cleaning products, a hydrometer and ingredients. A starter kit covers most of it, and an all-grain beer kit gives you malt, hops and yeast for one recipe.
What is the difference between a brewing machine and a brewhouse?
A brewing machine mashes, sparges and boils in one vessel and is made for homebrewers and small batches. A brewhouse has separate vessels for mashing, lautering and boiling and is used by breweries from a few hundred litres upwards.
Do I need a steam condenser?
If you boil indoors, a steam condenser is an alternative to extraction. It cools the steam to water, which drains to a floor drain or bucket. Steam condensers are available for Grainfather, Brewtools and Brewster.
