uKeg pressurised growler – draught beer with CO2 on the go and at the table
The uKeg from GrowlerWerks is a vacuum-insulated stainless steel growler with built-in CO2 regulator, pressure gauge and tap. It keeps beer cold and carbonated for weeks after filling. Here you will find the 3.8-litre uKeg Pro 128, unthreaded CO2 cartridges, the uKeg Twist seltzer maker and uKeg spare parts.
How the uKeg works
The cap has a VPR regulator where you choose the carbonation level from zero up to 15 psi. An unthreaded CO2 cartridge in the cap holds the pressure while you pour, the gauge shows the pressure inside and the sight glass shows how much is left. The uKeg Pro 128 Stainless holds 3.8 litres, or 8–10 beers, and also comes copper-plated.
You will also find a tap plug, interchangeable tap handles, a bar mat and carry bag for the uKeg 64, and a cocktail recipe book for the uKeg. For the uKeg Nitro coffee maker there is a refill kit and brew bags.
uKeg Twist seltzer maker
The 7 dl or 10.6 dl uKeg Twist makes sparkling water and seltzer right in the bottle using an 8 g CO2 cartridge, and the vacuum-insulated steel bottle keeps the drink cold all day. It comes in Tungsten, Seafoam and White.
Filling and cleaning
With a Tapcooler counter-pressure filler and a D50.5–59 silicone stopper you can fill the uKeg from a keg without the beer picking up oxygen. The opening is 53 mm. The uKeg has brass parts that can corrode with acid-based sanitisers such as Star San. Use a no-rinse product such as Sirafan Speed instead.
