Here you'll find everything you need to start brewing your very own cider. With good cider-making equipment, you simplify the brewing process, and a flavorful result is within reach. In our assortment, you'll find high-quality equipment that lasts a long time.
How to brew your own cider
Brewing cider is not that difficult, and as long as you are patient, it doesn't take much to get a good result. Although brewing different types of cider happens in much the same way, apple cider is the most common and easiest to get right.
The first thing you do is pick the apples by hand, directly from the tree. Then, you use a fruit grinder that grates and cuts the fruit into pieces of the right size. You put the chopped fruit into a fruit press, which squeezes out the juice to give you a nice juice. This juice should then be transferred to a fermentation tank and kept in a cool place with a temperature between 10-18 degrees. Once you've done that, all that's left is to be patient.
When fermentation is well underway after 1-3 months, you can add a little sugar. Let it continue to ferment for up to 9 months before storing it in bottles or barrels. After about a year, you can start tasting, but it's not until after 3 years that it becomes truly good. If you want to make the best possible cider, you should be patient, but you can also take a shortcut by adding cider yeast, which shortens both fermentation and storage time.
