Kegs and dispensing – equipment to store, carbonate and serve draught beer
KEGS & DISPENSING brings together everything for draught beer: corny kegs and CO2, draught towers and beer taps, kegerators, Lindr beer coolers with tower, John Guest and DMfit fittings and lines, drip trays and uKeg growlers. The range covers everything from one keg in the fridge to several cooled taps for parties and bars.
How to build a draught beer setup
- Keg: Stainless steel corny kegs with ball lock posts, such as the 23-litre AEB keg, which holds a full 25-litre batch after fermentation. One-way kegs like PolyKeg and KeyKeg are used when the beer leaves the house.
- Gas: A CO2 cylinder and a regulator, such as the Oxyturbo Major, provide pressure for carbonating and serving. A keg kit gives you keg, regulator, SodaStream cylinder and lines in one pack.
- Cooling: Either the keg is cooled in a kegerator, fridge or freezer, or the beer is cooled on its way to the tap in a beer cooler with tower.
- Dispensing: A tap on a tower, door or wall, or the Picnic Tap 2.1 that connects straight to the keg.
- Fittings and lines: Ball lock disconnects for beer and gas, push-fit fittings and 3/16" anti-foam beer line, as in the beer line kit with anti-foam line.
- Drips and cleaning: A drip tray under the tap, a keg washer and beer line cleaner.

Cooling: kegerator, fridge or beer cooler
| Solution | What is cooled | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Kegerator | The kegs, in a fridge with tower | Home bar with one to four kegs |
| Fridge or freezer with Picnic Tap or conversion kit | The kegs | Budget start, keezer |
| Lindr beer cooler with tower | The beer, on its way from keg to tap | Parties, cabins and events |
| Tower with cooling loop and glycol chiller | The beer all the way to the tap | Permanent installations with long lines |
Lindr models with /K in the name have a built-in air compressor and dispense from KeyKeg and PolyKeg without CO2. The Lindr Pygmy 25/K cools 25–35 litres per hour.
If you run a brewery or bar, keg coolers, ice bank coolers, packaging and fittings in larger packs are under PROFF (Norway only).
Frequently asked questions about kegs and dispensing
What do I need to serve draught beer at home?
A corny keg, a CO2 cylinder with regulator, line kits with ball lock disconnects, a tap and something to keep the keg or the beer cold. A keg kit and a fridge is the simplest start.
What is a corny keg?
A Cornelius keg, or corny keg, is a stainless steel keg with lid, pressure relief valve and ball lock posts for gas in and beer out. Homebrewers use them to store, carbonate and serve beer. AEB kegs come in 9, 12, 19, 20 and 23 litres.
Can I dispense from KeyKeg and PolyKeg at home?
Yes. You need a KeyKeg coupler, which fits both KeyKeg and PolyKeg, and a propellant gas. Lindr coolers with /K have their own compressor that uses air, so you do not need CO2.
Where can I refill my CO2 cylinder?
Brewshop refills food-grade CO2 with 99.9 % purity in our Trondheim shop. Filled cylinders cannot be sent as ordinary parcels.
Why is my draught beer foaming?
The most common causes are a beer line that is too wide or too short, too much pressure and warm lines. Switch to 3/16" anti-foam line, check the pressure and keep the tower cold.
