2" Tri-Clamp to 1/2" NPT – stainless steel adapter

Adapter from 2" Tri-Clamp to 1/2" NPT thread, made of 304 stainless steel. The NPT side is a male thread, so it fits parts with a 1/2" NPT female thread (FPT). Use it to connect threaded parts to a 2" Tri-Clamp port on a tank, kettle or pipe.

What do I need to fit it on the Tri-Clamp side?

You need a 2" Tri-Clamp clamp and a 2" Tri-Clamp gasket. The gasket sits between the ferrules and the clamp is tightened around them.

How do I seal the NPT thread?

NPT threads are tapered and seal as they are tightened. Wrap the male thread with thread seal tape (PTFE tape) for a secure, tight joint.

Does NPT fit BSP?

Not reliably. NPT and BSP have different thread forms and do not seal well against each other. Use parts with a 1/2" NPT female thread.
