Brumetal – Tri-Clamp, DIN 11851 and stainless steel fittings
Brumetal is a range of stainless steel parts and fittings for brewing equipment. It covers more than 170 items: Tri-Clamp clamps, gaskets, reducers, elbows, valves, sight glasses and thermowells from 34 mm to 8", adapters from DIN 11851 dairy fittings to Tri-Clamp, and hose barbs and adapters with NPT and BSP threads. The parts are used in home breweries and commercial breweries alike.
Choosing the right Brumetal parts
Tri-Clamp size: Clamp, gasket and ferrule must be the same size. The most common are 1.5" and 34 mm, but Brumetal also stocks 3/4", 2", 3", 4" and larger. To join two sizes, use a reducer, for example 2" to 1.5" or 34 mm to 1.5".
Tube size: Many 1.5" parts come with 38 mm or 19 mm tube. Same ferrule, different flow.
Gasket: The silicone gaskets handle −50 °C to 200 °C. EPDM is a cheaper option and is also used in the DIN 11851 fittings.
Threads: NPT is common on American brewing equipment, BSP on European. The two do not fit together, so check your equipment before ordering.
Material: Clamps, reducers, elbows and barbs are made of 304 stainless steel.
What the Brumetal range includes
Tri-Clamp basics – clamps, silicone and EPDM gaskets, and end caps.
Reducers and tube fittings – 45, 90 and 180 degree elbows, tees, crosses, extension tubes and weldless bulkheads for kettles and tanks.
Valves – butterfly valves in 1.5", 2" and 4", ball valves, sample valves and pressure relief valves (PRV).
Pressure and fermentation – spunding valves with a 0–2.2 bar scale, pressure gauges, carbonation and oxygenation stones, and a Tri-Clamp ball lock post.
Monitoring – sight glasses in several lengths and 10 and 18 cm thermowells.
Filtering and cleaning – inline filters with 20 to 300 micron screens, and rotating CIP spray balls.
DIN 11851 – adapters from DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40 and DN50 to Tri-Clamp, EPDM gaskets and an adjustable hook spanner.
NPT and BSP – hose barbs, adapters, tees, Gardena adapters and hose clamps.
Brumetal FAQ
What is the difference between Tri-Clamp and DIN 11851?
Tri-Clamp joins two ferrules with a gasket between them and a clamp around, and comes apart without tools. DIN 11851, also called a dairy fitting, uses a threaded nut and is common in dairies and breweries. Brumetal adapters connect DIN 11851 to 1.5" Tri-Clamp.
Are Tri-Clamp and Tri-Clover the same?
Yes. Tri-Clamp, Tri-Clover and TC are names for the same fitting type. Parts fit together as long as the size matches.
Should I choose silicone or EPDM gaskets?
Silicone handles −50 °C to 200 °C and works on both the hot and cold side. EPDM costs less. Both come in the most common Tri-Clamp sizes.
What is a spunding valve used for?
A spunding valve releases CO₂ when the tank pressure reaches your set level, so you can ferment under pressure and carbonate in the tank. Brumetal spunding valves have a 0–2.2 bar scale and come with 1.5" or 34 mm connections.
