False bottom for Ss Brew Kettle 113L – stainless steel mash screen
False bottom from Ss Brewtech for the 113-litre (30 gal) Ss Brew Kettle. The false bottom turns the kettle into a mash tun: the grain rests on top while the wort drains through and is drawn off from the centre. It is dome-shaped with a central outlet, and a silicone gasket around the edge stops grain from slipping past.

Compatibility
The false bottom is made for the Ss Brew Kettle 113L. It is not 100% compatible with Ss TC Brew Kettles, because the hose is too short. In that case we recommend buying one metre of 10 mm silicone tubing, so the hose reaches from the false bottom all the way to the valve.

Not as supplied. The included hose is too short for Ss TC Brew Kettles. With one metre of 10 mm silicone tubing it reaches from the false bottom to the valve.
Why does the false bottom have a silicone gasket?
The gasket seals between the false bottom and the kettle wall, so grain cannot slip past the edge into the wort.
