What is BIAB?
BIAB stands for Brew In A Bag. The malt is mashed in a bag inside the kettle, and the bag is lifted out after mashing. You only need one kettle, which makes it a simple way to get started with all-grain brewing.
How fine should the malt be milled for BIAB?
BIAB handles a finer crush than, for example, a Speidel Braumeister, because the bag holds back the grain. With your own grain mill you control the crush yourself.
Will the bag fit my kettle?
The bag is 74 × 74 cm and is made for large kettles. Measure the diameter and height of your kettle and check that the bag covers the bottom and reaches over the rim.
