Project Brew Heat Mat XL 100W – for large fermenters
A large heating mat designed for bigger homebrew fermenters, typically 60–80 litre tanks. The mat spreads the heat well without hot spots and fastens with the included Velcro strap. If the mat is slightly too large, it can be secured with tape, for example.
Use the heating mat together with an Inkbird temperature controller to keep the right temperature during fermentation.

Which tanks does the Heat Mat XL fit?
The mat is made for larger fermenters, typically 60–80 litres. For standard homebrew fermenters there is the 30 W heating mat.
Do I need a temperature controller?
Yes, it is recommended. A controller such as the Inkbird ITC-308 switches the mat on and off based on the temperature in the tank, so fermentation stays at a steady temperature.
What if the mat is too large for my tank?
The mat fastens with Velcro. If it is slightly too large, it can be secured with tape, for example.
When is a heating mat useful?
When the room is colder than the yeast needs, for example in a cold basement in winter. With a heating mat and a temperature controller you can also ferment kveik at high temperatures.
