Quantor MiniChilly 05 – glycol chiller with built-in pump
The Quantor MiniChilly 05 is a compact stainless steel glycol chiller with a built-in pump and a cooling capacity of 0.56 kW. That is enough for temperature control of up to 2 × 240 L tanks, with one 240 L tank on cold crash at a time, or 4 × 120 L tanks. The chiller is made for microbreweries, hobby brewers and smaller wineries that need cooling.

How to use a glycol chiller with a built-in pump
With a built-in pump chiller you need one temperature controller and solenoid valve per tank. The valve opens and closes for the coolant on a signal from the temperature controller. The hose or pipe setup must include a bypass loop, so coolant can always return to the chiller when the solenoid valves are closed. Without a bypass the pump will be damaged, since it runs all the time.
For most home brewers we recommend a glycol chiller for a submersible pump. The setup is simpler and cheaper, and no bypass loop is needed. See the MiniChilly 05 SB Compatible, a modified MiniChilly 05.
