Quantor MiniChilly 05 Glycol Chiller with Pump
Glycol chiller with built-in pump, with a cooling capacity of 0.56kW. This is sufficient power for temperature control of up to 2 x 240L tanks, with one 240L tank on cold crash at any time, or 4 x 120L tanks, etc.
Using a glycol chiller with a built-in pump
To use a chiller with a built-in pump, you need a temperature controller and solenoid valve per tank. The valve will open/close for coolant as needed and upon signal from the temperature controller. You also need to set up hoses or pipes that include a bypass loop, which ensures that coolant always flows back to the chiller if the solenoid valve(s) are closed. Without a bypass, the pump will be damaged as it will always be working.
For most homebrewers, we recommend a glycol chiller for use with a submersible pump, where the setup is both simpler and more affordable, and without the need for a bypass loop. Check out our MiniChilly 05 SB Compatible which is a modified MiniChilly 05.
The product is too large/heavy to be sent as a regular package and must therefore be sent on a pallet.

DESCRIPTION
The compact cooling unit MiniChilly, made of stainless steel, is an ideal solution for micro-breweries, hobby brewers and smaller wineries who only need cooling for their applications.
The MiniChilly is available in three sizes, with cooling capacities of 0,5 to 1,7 kW (0,67 to 2,21 HP). At 0°C (32°F) water temperature an ice-bank will be built around the tubes which provides an additional, stored cooling capacity. When used for flash-cooling, it boosts the capacity of the unit, giving a constant cooling temperature over a longer time period. An additional stainless steel coil for direct cooling of liquids can be
integrated as an option, even afterwards. The MiniChilly is able to cool water down to -6°C using glycol.
