Grifo PEW40 Hydropress 40L – fruit press powered by water pressure
The PEW40 from Grifo Marchetti is a robust hydropress for cold-pressing fruit such as grapes, apples, pomegranates and berries, as well as some vegetables. With a 40-litre capacity it sits between the PEW20 and PEW80, offering a good balance between volume and compact size.
The press needs neither electricity nor physical effort, only access to water. A natural rubber membrane, approved for food contact, fills with water and expands evenly, pressing the fruit gently against the inside of the basket. This gives a high juice yield and preserves the fruit's natural aroma, antioxidants and nutrients.
How the PEW40 works
- The fruit goes into the basket, inside the supplied canvas press cloth
- Tap water fills the membrane, which presses the fruit against the basket
- The cloth filters the must without clogging
- Spills are collected in the supplied bag

Does the fruit press need electricity?
No. The PEW40 runs on water pressure from an ordinary tap, and no physical effort is needed.
What can I press?
Grapes, apples, pomegranates, berries and some vegetables. Apples and other hard fruit are best milled in a fruit mill before pressing.
How high does the pressure get?
Max 3 bar. A built-in safety valve makes sure the pressure goes no higher.
Is a press cloth included?
Yes, the PEW40 comes with a canvas cloth that filters the must, and a bag that collects spills.
