Description
Charcoal "Hot Stuff" OAK FSC - 10 kg
This is charcoal for those who want even heat, long burn time and reliable quality from the first lighting to the last serving. Hot Stuff OAK is restaurant-style lump charcoal made from 100% oak from FSC-certified, sustainable forestry.
Oak is a hardwood that gives compact, dense lumps with stable heat and a long glow time. The result is a charcoal that is very well suited to both ceramic grills and restaurant grills, where control, heat and running time matter a lot for the result.
The large lumps give good airflow and even combustion, while producing a clean and pleasant smoke. This gives better control while grilling and helps create the authentic barbecue flavour many are looking for.
Hot Stuff OAK is a solid choice if you want charcoal of consistent quality, whether you grill at a high level at home or need a dependable charcoal for professional use.

Important information about charcoal
Our charcoal is of very high quality, and good charcoal is characterised above all by the hardness of the wood and a high carbon content. Good-quality charcoal is traditionally produced outdoors through pyrolysis over 10 to 12 days, which gives long burn time, high heat and stable performance.
As with all natural products, variations can occur:
- Damaged packaging: The packaging can be damaged in transit. This does not normally affect the quality of the charcoal.
- Stones in the charcoal: Stones can occur in charcoal. This is because good charcoal is produced outdoors on bare ground, and small stones can occasionally end up in the product.
- Sparks from the charcoal: Some charcoal can spark during lighting. This can be caused by knots in the wood or natural variations in its hardness. Sparks normally only occur during lighting, not once the charcoal is fully lit and ready to use.
Lighting tips
- Always light the charcoal with firelighters, not lighter fluid.
- Do not stir the charcoal until it is fully lit.
- Keep the lower air vent closed while grilling to reduce draught and sparking.
- Avoid strong airflow from a fan or blow pipe if you want to minimise the risk of sparks.
- Charcoal needs very little oxygen to glow, and lighting it correctly gives calmer combustion and a longer burn time.
