Saaz is a traditional Czech noble hop known for its mild bitterness and elegant aroma with hints of spice and herbs. It is used mainly as an aroma hop in pilsner, lager and other continental beer styles, and is often combined with other noble hops such as Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Tettnanger.
Saaz is an old landrace variety from the Czech region of the same name. BarthHaas notes that it is used in all the notable Czech pilsners and helps define the style.

We store the hops in a freezer room at -18 °C. Keep them cold, dark and airtight, preferably in a freezer. Reseal an opened pack well, ideally with vacuum, before putting it back.
