How to keep your brewing equipment clean

Avoid unwanted bacterial cultures that ruin the brew! All brewing equipment that will come into contact with the brew must therefore be cleaned, and everything that comes into contact with the wort/beer in any of the processes after boiling must then be sanitized:

Wash the equipment with an alkaline cleaner, such as the very popular PBW. It is an alkaline and non-caustic agent. This will make it less necessary to scrub the brewing equipment. You can then use a soft sponge to wipe it off.
Sanitize the equipment by rinsing with an acidic liquid, for example a Star San solution.

Wash and sanitize kegs and beer bottles
