Chemipro San – high-foaming acid-based sanitizer for brewing equipment
Acid-based sanitizer for sanitizing brewing equipment, fermenters, bottles, cans, water containers and the like. It is high-foaming, so it reaches difficult places.
Chemipro San is an alternative to Star San and contains the same active ingredients: phosphoric acid and dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid.
How to use Chemipro San
- dosage: 15–25 ml per 10 litres of water
- contact time: at least 1 minute
- use it after the equipment has been cleaned
It can be used without rinsing as before, but Chemipro San, Star San and similar products are now recommended, in line with legislation, to be rinsed with water after use.
Acid-based sanitizers are not suitable for soft metals.

How much Chemipro San should I use?
Mix 15–25 ml per 10 litres of water. A 500 ml bottle therefore makes 200–330 litres of solution.

Do I need to clean the equipment before sanitizing?
Yes. Chemipro San sanitises but does not clean. Clean first with a cleaner such as PBW, then sanitize.
Can I use Chemipro San on all materials?
No. Acid-based products are not suitable for soft metals.
