Krome Dispense – beer towers, shanks and drip trays
Krome Dispense makes equipment for dispensing and serving beer and other drinks, for homebrewers, bars and breweries. Brewshop stocks Cobra and classic beer towers, a stout tap, shanks in several lengths, tap handles, drip trays with and without glass rinser, a KeyKeg coupler, a FOB detector, and accessories for kettles and bottle washing.
Choosing Krome dispensing equipment
- Tower or shank: A beer tower sits on the counter or on top of the fridge. A shank goes through a wall or door with the tap on the outside. Shanks come in 10, 20 and 25 cm lengths and with a 1.5" Tri-Clamp.
- Threads: The Cobra towers and the classic tower have US tap threads and fit Ultratap, Intertap and Perlick among others. For European shanks, a tap adapter converts European to US threads.
- Line connection: Shanks with John Guest push-fit come in 3/8" and 5/16", and the Cobra tower has a John Guest 5/16" outlet.
- Cooling: The classic two-tap tower has a 3/8" copper glycol loop, keeping the beer cold all the way to the tap.
- Drip tray: Choose wall-mounted, freestanding with glass rinser, or shank-mounted. The shank-mounted trays hang on the shanks and come for 1, 2, 3 and 4 taps.

Krome Dispense FAQ
What does a FOB detector do?
A FOB (Foam-On-Beer) detector stops the flow when the keg runs empty but keeps the line full of beer. You can connect a new keg without pouring off foam first, which means less waste.
Does the KeyKeg coupler fit PolyKeg?
Yes, the Krome KeyKeg coupler fits both KeyKeg and PolyKeg with a K valve. It has 5/8" BSP threads, a chrome-plated brass body and a 304 stainless probe.
Do the beer towers come with taps?
No. The towers are supplied without taps. The Cobra towers and the classic tower have US threads and fit taps such as Ultratap, Intertap and Perlick.
How do I turn a pot into a brew kettle?
With the conversion kit you drill a 22 mm hole in the pot and fit the bulkhead and ball valve. The kit is 304 stainless steel and thread tape is included.
