HopBurst hop oil – dry hopping with standardised aroma
HopBurst is hop oil from Totally Natural Solutions in 20 ml pouches, dosed for about 20 litres of beer. The oil is added after fermentation and gives hop aroma without hop debris in the beer. Here you will find HopBurst with Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo, Nectaron and Saaz, plus HopAlpha for clean bitterness after fermentation.
Why hop oil instead of dry hopping?
Traditional dry hopping extracts 20–35% of the hop oil, because yield and oil content vary. HopBurst is standardised and, according to the producer, gives up to 100% yield of the hop oil every time. That means more consistent aroma from brew to brew and less hop trub, so you lose less beer.

Frequently asked questions about HopBurst
How much HopBurst should I use?
One 20 ml pouch is dosed for about 20 litres of beer.

HopBurst is added after fermentation, for example in a secondary fermenter or keg. You can also add it during active fermentation for biotransformation, where the yeast transforms hop compounds and gives a fruitier aroma.
Can I adjust bitterness after fermentation?
Yes, with HopAlpha NISO 25%. It is added after fermentation and gives clean bitterness. It can also be added in the boil or during fermentation, but with reduced effect.
