The Grainfather G30v3 is the third generation of the G30. You can set a delayed heat-up of the mash water, and the counterflow chiller cools the wort and transfers it to the fermenter in about 10 minutes. The Grainfather G40 gives more volume and is controlled wirelessly with the app.

Accessories and spare parts

Sparge water: the Sparge Water Heater 18L and 25L heat your sparge water and hold the temperature while you mash.
Steam: a steam condenser for the G30 with tri-clamp parts, a separate condenser for the G40 and G70, and a universal steam condenser.
Control: the GCAST Bluetooth WiFi Bridge adds Wi-Fi control to the G30, and Smart Controllers are available for the G40 and G70.

Choose by how much beer you want per brew. The G30v3 has a 30-litre capacity and suits most homebrewers. The G40 handles 10–40 litre batches and has built-in Wi-Fi. The G70v2 has 70 litres pre-boil and gives 60 litres into the fermenter.

What is new in the Grainfather G30v3?

The G30v3 has a perforated grain basket that removes the need for a top plate and overflow pipe, and an auto reset switch, so you no longer need to reach under the unit if it trips.

Do I need a sparge water heater for my Grainfather?

No, but it makes brew day easier. With the Sparge Water Heater you start heating sparge water when you begin mashing, and it holds the temperature until you sparge. It comes in 18 and 25 litre sizes.
