DIN 11851 dairy fittings – Tri-Clamp adapters, gaskets and wrench
DIN 11851, often called a dairy fitting or dairy coupling, is a threaded stainless steel pipe connection used on tanks, pumps and pipework in the dairy, beverage and food industries. Here you will find DIN 11851 to Tri-Clamp adapters in DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40 and DN50, EPDM gaskets in the same sizes and a hook wrench for the round nut.

How to choose the right DIN 11851 adapter
- Size (DN): DN is the nominal diameter. The adapter must have the same DN as the fitting on your tank, pump or pipe.
- Male or female: A DIN 11851 connection has a male part with an external thread and a female part secured with a round nut. Check what is fitted to your equipment and choose the opposite part. Male adapters come in DN25, DN32 and DN40, female in all five sizes.
- Tri-Clamp side: Most adapters go to 1.5" Tri-Clamp. DN20 female is also available with 2" Tri-Clamp.
- Gasket: DIN 11851 seals with a separate gasket between the male and female parts. Replace it when it is worn or has taken the shape of the fitting.

The adapters are made by Brumetal in 304 stainless steel. The range also includes an adjustable hook wrench for 50–121 mm, a butterfly valve with DN32 on one end and 1.5" Tri-Clamp on the other, and an adapter from DN40 DIN 32676 to 1.5" Tri-Clamp.

Can I connect DIN 11851 to Tri-Clamp?
Yes, with an adapter that has DIN 11851 on one end and Tri-Clamp on the other. You can then use Tri-Clamp valves, hose barbs and pipe fittings on a tank or pump with a dairy fitting. On the Tri-Clamp side you also need a clamp and a gasket.
Which gasket fits DIN 11851?

What is the hook wrench for?
A hook wrench, also called a C-spanner, engages the slots in the round nut so you can tighten and loosen the connection without damaging it. Ours adjusts from 50 to 121 mm.
