John Guest push-fit fittings for beer lines, CO2 and drinking water
John Guest push-fit fittings connect tubing without tools: the tube is pushed in and held by a collet. Here you will find union connectors, reducers, elbows, tees, shut-off valves, check valves and adapters to BSP, NPTF and FFL, plus LLDPE tubing. The fittings are available for 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" outside diameter tube and are used in breweries, bars and restaurants.

How to choose the right John Guest fitting
Measure the outside diameter: Push-fit sizes refer to the outside diameter (OD) of the tube, not the bore. 5/16" and 3/8" are the best-selling sizes here. 3/8" OD LLDPE tubing has a 1/4" (6.35 mm) bore.
Joining and changing sizes: A 5/16" union connector joins two tubes. Reducers and stem fittings have a stem end that plugs into another push-fit fitting, such as the 3/8" to 5/16" reducer.
Adapting to threads: Female 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" BSP, including 5/8" BSP to 3/8", straight adaptors with NPTF and BSP, and an adapter to 1/4" FFL for flare connections.
Controlling flow:Shut-off valves in 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2", and a 3/8" check valve that prevents backflow, for example in a CO2 line.
Fitting and securing: Cut tube square with a John Guest tube cutter. Locking clips stop the collet being pushed in by accident, and the Flow Bend Clip holds tube in a bend without kinking.

Frequently asked questions about John Guest
How do I release a John Guest fitting?
Push the collet in towards the fitting and pull the tube out at the same time. If the collet is secured with a locking clip, remove the clip first.
Is John Guest compatible with DMfit?
Tubing with the same outside diameter fits both systems. The spare collets in the range are labelled for both John Guest and DMfit.
Which tubing should I use for beer?
Push-fit needs rigid LLDPE or LDPE tubing with the correct outside diameter. 5/16" OD LLDPE tubing has a 3/16" (4.76 mm) bore, and 3/8" OD has a 1/4" (6.35 mm) bore.
