PolyKeg PRO – one-way PET kegs for breweries

PolyKeg PRO is a one-way PET keg from Italian manufacturer PolyKeg, with an integrated pressure relief valve and a bag with dip tube. We stock PolyKeg PRO with K-valve in 12, 20, 24 and 30 litres, as single kegs or on a full Euro pallet. The K-valve fits KeyKeg couplers and filling heads. PolyKeg is part of the Infinitum deposit scheme in Norway. Brewshop is the Norwegian distributor for PolyKeg.

How to choose the right PolyKeg

Size: The PolyKeg PRO 12L suits specialty beers sold in smaller volumes. The PolyKeg PRO 24L is easier to lift than a 30 litre keg and stays under the 25 kg maximum lifting weight recommended by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority. 30 litres gives the lowest packaging cost per litre.
With or without bag: With a bag (BIK, Bag In Keg) the beer sits in a bag with an internal dip tube, and the propellant presses on the outside of the bag. The PolyKeg PRO 30L is also available without a bag.
Single or pallet: The kegs are sold singly or on Euro pallets of 75 (12 litres), 60 (20 litres), 48 (24 litres) or 44 kegs (30 litres).

PolyKeg PRO features

Integrated pressure relief valve (PRV): automatically releases pressure above 5.5 bar throughout the keg's life, for example during secondary fermentation.
Bag with dip tube: gives an even flow during filling, complete dispense and less foam. The keg can be filled upright or upside down, manually or automatically.
Low oxygen: The kegs are pre-purged with nitrogen and ready to fill. The multilayer bag film protects against O2, CO2 and light.
Natural carbonation: You can carbonate with sugar in a PolyKeg.
Recycling: The keg can be fully dismantled so every part can be recycled, using the PolyKeg Dismantling Key and Base Dismantling Key. PolyKeg is certified to UNI EN ISO 14001:2015.

Filling and dispensing

PolyKeg is filled with the PolyKeg Manual Filling Kit for K or G couplers, the Lindr Keg Filler for PolyKeg and KeyKeg, or the KeyKeg Manual Filling Head with a splitter. For larger volumes there is the PolyKeg semi-automatic filling machine, price on request. After filling, a back pressure of up to 0.5 bar between keg and bag is recommended, which keeps the CO2 in the beer and prevents beer between bag and keg. Keg Caps in boxes of 264 seal the kegs. For dispense with a Lindr cooler with compressor there are starter kits for 1 keg and for 2 kegs.
