Alfra hole punch kit Ø41.3 mm – for 1.5" Tri-Clamp bulkheads
A hole punch from Alfra in Germany that punches a clean, round hole 41.3 mm in diameter. The hole suits a 1.5" Tri-Clamp bulkhead, so you can fit Tri-Clamp to kettles, tanks and fermenters without welding. The punch has a ball bearing and cross-hair marking for easy, central alignment.
ALFRA MonoCut hole punches are made of Krupp steel. The kit comes complete with a pre-drill (step drill), and the punch is tightened with an open-ended or adjustable spanner. See the instructions for the procedure.

Why punch instead of using a hole saw?
A hole punch gives a clean hole without burrs and without swarf in the kettle. That gives an even surface for the bulkhead gasket.

It is suitable for sheet steel up to 3 mm, and for stainless steel, aluminium, fibreglass and plastic.
How do I use it?
First drill a hole with the step drill, assemble the punch through the hole and tighten with a spanner until the hole is punched out. The instructions show the procedure step by step.
