Description
Submersible pump 12V, 800 l/h – 1/2" hose barb for glycol cooling
A high-quality brushless submersible pump made for homebrewers who want to cool the fermenter with glycol or cold water. It works with homebrew glycol chillers, for example the Quantor 03 SB and Quantor 05 SB. If you do not have a glycol chiller, you can submerge the pump in a water bath in the fridge. The pump runs very quietly.
How to use the pump
We recommend using the pump with the Inkbird WIFI ITC-308. Plug the pump into "cooling" on the Inkbird. It then starts automatically when the fermenter temperature rises above your set point, circulating cold water or glycol through the cooling coil or jacket.

Frequently asked questions about the 12V submersible pump
Do I need a glycol chiller?
No. The pump works with glycol chillers, but you can also submerge it in a water bath in the fridge.
How do I control the pump automatically?
Connect it to "cooling" on an Inkbird WIFI ITC-308. The pump starts when the tank gets warmer than the set temperature and stops when it is back down.
Which hose fits?
The outlet has a 1/2" hose barb that fits PVC hose with a 10–12 mm inside diameter.
Why is temperature control so important?
Yeast produces heat during active fermentation, and too high a temperature causes off-flavours. A stable temperature is one of the most important factors for a good result.
