1.5" Tri-Clamp heating element 3.2 kW for brew kettles
3.2 kW (230 V) heating element for brew kettles, with a 1.5" Tri-Clamp connection. The element reaches 34 cm into the kettle. The element tube itself is about 1.5 metres long, and the watt density is low at 8.5 W/cm². Low watt density reduces the risk of wort scorching on the element.
The element is made of 316 stainless steel. It is fitted to the kettle with a 1.5" Tri-Clamp bulkhead, for example a weldless bulkhead. The element must only be installed by a licensed electrician.

How is the element fitted to the kettle?
With a 1.5" Tri-Clamp bulkhead in the kettle wall. If there is no Tri-Clamp port already, you can use a weldless bulkhead. The electrical connection must be made by a licensed electrician.

The power is spread over a large surface, 8.5 W/cm². This means less local heat on the element, so the wort is less likely to scorch.
How far into the kettle does the element reach?
The insertion length is 34 cm. Check that your kettle has room for it.
