Description
BBQ Butcher Paper 53 m – brown smoking paper for brisket and ribs
BBQ Brown Butcher Paper is a strong and durable smoking paper for grilling, smoking and cooking. It is widely used in American BBQ, especially for brisket and ribs, where it helps the meat stay juicy while smoke and heat can still circulate around it.
Unlike aluminium foil, butcher paper lets steam escape while holding on to the smoke aroma. This keeps the meat from turning soggy and losing its coveted bark.
The paper is unbleached and untreated, with no wax, bleach or artificial coatings that could affect the taste. Its sturdy construction gives good wet strength and reduces the risk of tearing or leaking.

Frequently asked questions about BBQ Butcher Paper
What is the difference between butcher paper and aluminium foil?
Foil traps the steam, which can make the bark soggy. Butcher paper lets steam escape but keeps in heat and smoke aroma, so the bark on the meat is preserved.
When do I wrap the brisket?
Many wrap brisket or ribs once the bark has set and the internal temperature has stalled for a while. The paper helps the meat along without softening the bark.
Is the paper safe for food?
Yes. The paper is food grade, unbleached and free from wax and artificial coatings.
