Beer Tap Conversion Kit – build your own single-tap kegerator
With the Beer Tap Conversion Kit you can turn an ordinary fridge or freezer into a kegerator with one tap line. The kit has everything you need on the beer side to connect a ball lock Cornelius keg and pour beer straight from the tap. The components are stainless steel, LLDPE tubing and an Ultratap SS tap with handle. Push-fit quick connectors make the system easy to assemble, clean and maintain.

- 1 × 10 cm tap shank with 5/16" push-fit quick connector
- 1 × ball lock beer disconnect with 1/4" MFL thread
- 1 × adapter 3/16" – 1/4" FFL in stainless steel
- 1 × push-fit reducer 5/16" – 3/16"
- 1 × tap wrench
- 1.2 m of 3/16" LLDPE tubing
You will also need
- A fridge or freezer that fits the keg
- A ball lock Cornelius keg
- A CO2 cylinder and CO2 regulator
- Gas line and a ball lock gas disconnect
Frequently asked questions about the Beer Tap Conversion Kit
How is the tap mounted?
The 10 cm shank is fitted through the door or side wall of the fridge, and the tap is screwed on outside. Inside the fridge the beer line connects the shank to the ball lock disconnect on the keg.
Is CO2 equipment included?
No. The kit covers the beer side from keg to tap. The CO2 cylinder, regulator, gas line and gas disconnect are sold separately.
What pressure should I serve at?
A serving pressure of around 0.8 bar works on most systems. If the beer foams, the pressure may be too high, the beer too warm or the line too short.
Can I use a freezer?
Yes. Use a temperature controller instead of the freezer’s own thermostat so the beer stays cold without freezing.
