Long mash paddle from Brewtools in 304 stainless steel. It is 78 cm long and has a T-handle for comfortable use. A practical hook lets you hang the paddle on the inside of the kettle or malt pipe. Use it to stir in the malt when mashing in and to stir the mash during the rest.

Why is it important to stir well when mashing in?
Add the malt a little at a time and stir well. Otherwise you get dough balls and channels in the mash, and you extract less sugar.
Can the paddle hang in the kettle?
Yes. The hook lets you hang the paddle on the inside of the kettle or malt pipe, so it is always at hand during brew day.
Are there shorter mash paddles?
Yes. Brewtools also has a standard mash paddle, and there is a 60 cm stainless steel mash paddle.
