False bottom 30 cm with barb – domed stainless steel screen
This is a domed false bottom in stainless steel with a diameter of 30 cm (12"). It sits at the bottom of the mash tun or kettle and separates the wort from the grain during lautering. The barb lets you connect a silicone hose and route the wort on to the tap or pump.
The domed shape gives minimal dead space under the screen. This is especially useful if you do not recirculate the wort during the mash. The false bottom also fits kettles with a larger diameter than the screen itself, and it is recommended over a bazooka screen because it has a larger contact area with the mash.
