Description
Fercubator / Ferminator Basic cooling/heating unit – extra capacity for the fermentation chamber
This is the Basic cooling and heating unit for the Fercubator (formerly Ferminator) from Brewolution. The Fercubator can be fitted with an extra cooling and heating unit at the back, so that two units cool or heat at the same time. This is recommended when the chamber has been extended with expansion modules, as a taller chamber has more air and more litres of beer to keep at the right temperature. The unit is supplied complete with a power supply.

Frequently asked questions about Fercubator Basic cooling/heating unit
When do I need an extra cooling/heating unit?
When the Fercubator has been extended with expansion modules. The extra unit is mounted at the back, so two units share the job of holding the temperature.
How much can the unit cool and heat?
It can lower the temperature by up to 20 °C and raise it by up to 30 °C relative to the room the chamber is in.
Why does a stable fermentation temperature matter?
Yeast produces its own heat during peak fermentation, and room temperature varies. Too high a temperature gives esters and fusel alcohols, and too low gives a sluggish fermentation. A fermentation chamber keeps the temperature steady.
