PTFE thread seal tape 12 mm – seals threaded fittings
Thread seal tape in PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), often called Teflon tape, 12 mm wide and 13.2 m long. Wrap the tape around the male threads before screwing the fitting together, and it seals the threads against leaks. It is used on threaded fittings in brewing equipment, such as ball valves, hose barbs and bulkheads with NPT or BSP threads.

Frequently asked questions about thread seal tape
How do I use thread seal tape?
Wrap the tape a few turns around the male threads in the same direction as you screw on the fitting, so the tape does not unwind when you tighten it.
Do I need thread seal tape on Tri-Clamp?
No. Tri-Clamp fittings are sealed with a gasket and clamp. Thread seal tape is only used on threaded fittings.
