Description
John Guest Superseal 3/8" to Speedfit 3/8" – straight connector from stainless tube to tubing
Straight connector from John Guest with a Superseal end for 3/8" stainless steel tube on one side and a standard Speedfit push-fit for 3/8" tubing on the other. Superseal is designed for hard, polished metal tube such as stainless steel, where a standard push-fit fitting may not grip well enough. The Speedfit end takes plastic tubing (LLDPE) or soft metal pipe. The connector is used in dispense systems and other drinks equipment where stainless tubes are connected to tubing.
How Superseal works
The collet has stainless steel teeth, like standard John Guest fittings. Superseal also has a hand-tightened nut. The nut presses a wedge-shaped plastic washer against the collet and the double O-rings, so the teeth bite firmly into the tube and the O-rings seal even better. The fitting can be disconnected and reconnected without tools. In tight spaces you can tighten the nut with the John Guest Superseal spanner.

FAQ about John Guest Superseal 3/8" to Speedfit 3/8"
What is the difference between Superseal and Speedfit?
Speedfit is John Guest's standard push-fit fitting for plastic tubing and soft metal pipe. Superseal adds a hand-tightened nut that gives extra grip and a better seal on hard, polished tube such as stainless steel.
Do I need tools?
No. Push the tube in and tighten the nut by hand. The Superseal spanner is only a help in tight spaces.
Can the connector be used for gas?
John Guest states that Superseal is suitable for potable water, food-grade liquids and inert gases. It is not suitable for compressed air or vacuum.
What does OD mean?
OD is the outside diameter of the tube. John Guest fittings are sized by outside diameter.
