Short shank for beer towers – 1/4" for John Guest and Duotight

Short shank in stainless steel for beer towers. It has a 1/4" stem, so it connects directly to a 1/4" John Guest or Duotight push-fit fitting. That makes the line easy to connect and disconnect. With a John Guest 1/4" - 3/16" push-fit reducer you can easily connect a foam-reducing 3/16" LDPE beer line.

Which beer line should I use?

Brewshop recommends foam-reducing LDPE line with a 3/16" outside diameter, ideally 1.5–2 metres or more. The narrow line gives resistance, so the beer does not foam in the glass.

What is the advantage of a push-fit connection?

The line connects and disconnects without tools or hose clamps. That makes it easy to take the line apart for cleaning.

What pressure should I serve at?

Around 0.8 bar works on most systems with the right line length.
