N°8 digital HACCP thermometer for fridge and freezer – Alla France
The N°8 from Alla France is a digital thermometer that lets you monitor the temperature in a fridge or freezer without opening the door. The thermometer attaches to the outside with its magnetic back, and the external sensor with suction cup goes inside the cabinet.
The thermometer comes with an EN 13485 certificate documenting its accuracy according to HACCP requirements for food safety. It is used in the food industry, restaurants, hotels and laboratories. It is also useful for homebrewers carbonating in kegs: the temperature determines how much CO2 the beer absorbs, and the fridge's own thermostat is not always accurate.

Why do I need a thermometer in the fridge when carbonating in kegs?
Temperature and pressure determine how much CO2 the beer absorbs. A simple method is 1 bar for a week at 3–5 °C, and then you need to know the temperature is actually there. The fridge thermostat is not always accurate.
How accurate is the thermometer?
±0.5 °C between −4 and +6 °C, and ±1 °C between +7 and +70 °C. It comes with an EN 13485 certificate.
How is the thermometer mounted?
The thermometer itself attaches with a magnet to the outside of the cabinet. The external sensor attaches with a suction cup inside.
Which battery does it use?
A 3V CR2032 battery with a stated lifetime of 3000 hours.
