The MiniChilly 03 SB Compatible is a glycol chiller specifically developed by Quantor for Brewshop, and is the ultimate glycol chiller on the market for home brewers of beer, cider, and wine. Here you get the highest quality from German Quantor, renowned for its professional cooling units used by professional breweries worldwide. Better quality for the price is not available on the market today!
Cooling Capacity: The glycol chiller has the capacity to temperature control up to 4 x 50L tanks, with one 50L tank on cold crash at any time. Or 2 x 75L tanks, with one 75L tank on cold crash at any time.
SB stands for submersible, and the chiller is therefore designed for use with submersible pumps and temperature controllers, such as our Temp Control Pump Kit. Perfect for temperature control of tanks from, for example, Ss Brewtech, Brewtools, Speidel, Fermzilla (when using a Temp Twister cooling coil).
By using the Grainfather Cooling Pump Kit, you can also use this chiller for temperature control of the Grainfather Conical Fermenter Pro.
The cooling unit comes with 3/8" hose fittings for connecting up to 4 submersible pumps that can run simultaneously for cooling multiple tanks.
The glycol chiller can cool down to -6°C with a 30% glycol mix. (PS! -2°C provides the best cooling effect!)
The water tank has a 6.3-liter volume. Fill the tank with cooling water, start the pump to fill the system for one tank, before refilling cooling water into the water tank if needed (in case the cooling jacket and hoses take more than 6.3 liters of water). Repeat with more tanks until your entire system is filled and ready. If you need to refill water in the water tank, we recommend placing the glycol chiller higher than the inlet/outlet for cooling water on the fermentation tank. This is to prevent water from returning and overfilling the glycol chiller's tank when the pumps are not running.

WARNING!! The glycol chiller must stand still for 24 hours before use. This is because oil can flow into the compressor during shipping, and the oil needs time to flow back down before you turn on the chiller. If you turn on the chiller before 24 hours have passed, it may be damaged and the warranty will be void due to user error.
Why is this particularly important for this chiller? The MiniChilly 03 SB is small, compact, and light, and can therefore be sent as a regular postal package, unlike other chillers that must be shipped on a pallet. The postal service does not care about any "This Side Up" label during shipping, and it is highly uncertain that it will remain upright throughout the transport.
