Description
Quantor MiniChilly 17 SB Compatible – 1.7 kW glycol chiller for submersible pumps
The MiniChilly 17 SB Compatible is a modified MiniChilly 17 for cooling fermentation tanks for advanced homebrewers and small breweries. A submersible pump, such as the one in Quantor's SB Control Kit or the Temp Control Pump Kit, is placed in the water bath. With a glycol mix, the bath can be cooled to −6 °C.
Please note: This product is only available in Norway.
A chiller built for submersible pumps gives small breweries a more affordable and flexible solution than conventional glycol chillers with fixed piping and manifolds that distribute coolant to each tank. The MiniChilly 17 SB Compatible Black Edition comes with connections for cooling up to 10 tanks with submersible pumps, and has an external sight glass showing the liquid level.
Capacity
The cooling capacity is 1.7 kW. That is enough for, for example, 5 tanks of 240 L with one of them cold crashing at a time, or 10 tanks of 120 L with two cold crashing.
