Teo Musso, founder of Baladin Brewery in Turin, Italy, collaborated with Italian beer sommelier and expert in sensory analysis, Kuaska, to create the TEKU glass (the name TEKU is a combination of the names Teo and Kuaska). Musso recognised that size and shape are important factors in conveying the message of a fine beer, and his goal in creating TEKU was to develop an industry standard that could be used for sensory analysis of craft beer, inspired by glasses used for similar wine assessment. Musso created a series of prototypes and Kuaska evaluated all of them. The result was a beer glass that is an elegant, functional instrument intended to elevate the taste of a fine beer. The glass was then produced by the legendary German glassmaker Rastal. TEKU is the first universal beer glass that allows all types of beer to be tasted to perfection, and is used by beer tasters and exclusive restaurants worldwide.
