Which hoses can I cut?
The hose cutter is used for PVC, silicone and LDPE tubing up to 50 mm in diameter.
Why does a straight cut matter?
Push-fit fittings such as John Guest need a tube end that is cut square and free of burrs to seal. An angled knife cut can cause leaks.
Why not just use a knife?
A knife can easily give an angled cut or squash the tube. The hose cutter gives a straight cut on the first try.
