Female hose barb 1/2" FPT x 16 mm – from thread to hose
Hose barb in 304 stainless steel with a 1/2" FPT female thread at one end and a 16 mm barb at the other. It is used to connect a hose to equipment with 1/2" NPT male threads, such as ball valves, pumps and bulkheads on kettles and fermenters.

What does FPT mean?
FPT stands for female pipe thread, meaning NPT threads on the inside. The barb therefore screws onto a part with 1/2" NPT male threads.
Does it fit BSP threads?
No. NPT and BSP have different thread profiles and will not seal against each other. For BSP, use a hose barb with BSP threads.
Which hose fits?
The barb is 16 mm and fits hose with a 16 mm inner diameter. A hose clamp is recommended to secure the hose.
