Speidel 120 L conical fermentation tank – stainless steel with cooling jacket
Speidel 120 L conical fermentation tank in 304 stainless steel with a cooling jacket, supplied complete with ball valves, thermowell, thermometer and airlock. Speidel is a German manufacturer of stainless steel tanks. The tank is suitable for fermenting and storing beer, wine and cider, and is a solid choice for the serious homebrewer or the small brewery.
Please note: This product is only available in Norway.
The double cooling jacket lets you control the fermentation temperature by circulating coolant, for example from a glycol chiller. The conical bottom collects yeast and sediment at the bottom outlet, making it easy to drain the yeast before the beer is transferred. The tank is pressureless and is not made for pressure fermentation or carbonation.
The tank is shipped on a pallet due to its weight and dimensions. The tank is made to order. Price on request.

Can the Speidel 120 L tank be used for pressure fermentation?
No. The tank is pressureless and has a lid with a spring clip seal and a hole for an airlock. For pressure fermentation and carbonation you need a pressure tank.
How do I cool the tank?
The tank has a laser-welded double cooling jacket with two G 1" connections (male thread). You circulate coolant through the jacket, for example from a glycol chiller.
