Blow-off tube with thermowell for Speidel fermenters – by Norcal
Combined blow-off tube and thermowell in stainless steel for Speidel fermenters. It fits all Speidel plastic fermenters and gives you two functions in a single fitting: a tube for excess foam and CO2 during vigorous fermentation, and a thermowell where you insert the temperature probe to measure the temperature in the middle of the beer rather than on the outside of the vessel.

The Speidel retaining ring is not included. The retaining ring for the tap on Speidel fermenters can be used.

Will it fit my Speidel fermenter?
It fits all Speidel plastic fermenters.
Why measure temperature in a thermowell?
Fermentation produces heat, and the temperature inside the beer can be higher than on the outside of the vessel. With the probe in the thermowell, the controller regulates by the temperature of the beer itself.
Is the retaining ring included?
No, the Speidel retaining ring is not included. The retaining ring for the tap on Speidel fermenters can be used.
