Starter Kit Basic contains the equipment you need to ferment and bottle beer from a Fresh Wort Kit or an extract kit, and to make hard seltzer. The kit is suitable for beginners. When you want to take the next step, the same equipment can be used for all-grain brewing together with a brewing system or mash and boil kettles.

How to use the kit
Fermentation takes place in the 33-litre fermenter with airlock, and the hydrometer shows when fermentation is complete. You bottle with the tap and bottle filler, carbonate with carbonation drops and cap the bottles with the hand capper. Chemipro Wash is used for cleaning and Chemipro San for sanitising the equipment before use.

What else do I need besides the starter kit?
You need the ingredients – a Fresh Wort Kit, an extract kit or a hard seltzer kit – and bottles to fill. Caps, carbonation drops and cleaning products are included.
Can I brew all-grain with this kit?
The kit covers fermentation and bottling. For all-grain brewing, where you mash and boil yourself, you also need a brewing system or mash and boil kettles. The starter kit equipment can still be used.
Which caps does the hand capper fit?
The VIK Capper fits both 26 mm and 29 mm crown caps. The kit comes with 100 gold 26 mm caps.
