Still Spirits Turbo Clear 130 g – two-part fining agent

Turbo Clear from Still Spirits is a two-part fining agent added once fermentation is complete. Within 24 hours it removes over 90% of the yeast cells, solids and other unwanted compounds, leaving a clear liquid ready for further processing.

Without fining, yeast cells can remain in the liquid and cause unwanted flavours, odours and impurities in the finished product. Still Spirits recommends using Turbo Clear in every batch.

How to use Turbo Clear

1. Part A: When fermentation is complete, stir vigorously to remove gas. Add the contents of part A and stir well. Leave for 1 hour.
2. Part B: After 1 hour, slowly pour part B over the liquid while stirring gently so it is evenly distributed. Do not stir too hard, as this can disturb the clearing. Leave to clear for at least 24 hours. Part B sinks to the bottom and takes unwanted yeast cells and compounds with it.
3. Siphon the clear liquid into a clean vessel and leave the sediment behind.

When should I add Turbo Clear?

How long does clearing take?

Part A works for 1 hour before you add part B. The liquid then needs at least 24 hours undisturbed.

Why must part B be stirred in gently?

Part B needs to sink to the bottom and take yeast cells and particles with it. Stirring too hard disturbs the clearing.
