TC 1.5" Thermowell 160 mm – thermowell from Brewtools

Thermowell from Brewtools with a 1.5" Tri-Clamp connection. It is fitted to a 1.5" Tri-Clamp port on the tank or kettle, and the temperature sensor goes into the well. The sensor then measures the temperature inside the liquid without direct contact with it, and it can be removed without opening the tank.

Which temperature sensors fit?

The well has an internal diameter of 7 mm, so the sensor must be thinner than 7 mm to fit.

What do I need to fit it?

Like all Tri-Clamp fittings, it is mounted with a 1.5" gasket and a 1.5" clamp against the port on the tank.

Why use a thermowell?

The sensor measures the temperature inside the beer or wort rather than on the outside of the tank. That gives a more accurate reading for temperature control during fermentation.
