Description
Vinoferm Benton – granulated calcium bentonite for fining wine
Vinoferm Benton is a special-quality bentonite in granulated form with a very high absorbing capacity. It is used for fining wine and for pre-clarification of wine and juice (must), and can also be used in beer. Bentonite binds proteins, polyphenols and tannins so they settle out, leaving a clearer and more stable drink.
How to use Benton
- Dose: 1–2 g per litre
- Dissolve the bentonite in 5 times its own volume of water
- Leave to swell for 3–5 hours
- Pour off the excess water and dilute with a little of the wine to be fined
- Stir well, then mix the solution thoroughly into the entire quantity of must or wine
