Vinoferm Malox malic acid 100 g – for adjusting acidity in wine
Malox from Vinoferm is malic acid in powder form, used to raise the acidity of wine. 9 grams per 10 litres raises the acidity by 1 g/l. Malic acid gives a fresh acidity and can also be used in cider and mead that lack acidity.
How to use malic acid
- Dosage: 9 g per 10 litres raises the acidity by 1 g/l.
- Dissolve the powder in a little of the wine before stirring it into the rest.
- If the wine will go through malolactic fermentation, the malic acid is converted to lactic acid. Add malic acid after malolactic fermentation if you want to keep the acidity.

All three raise acidity. Malic acid gives a fresh, apple-like acidity, tartaric acid is the main acid in grapes, and citric acid gives a citrus note.
