1/2" FPT to Gardena adapter – connect threaded equipment to the Gardena system
Adapter from 1/2" FPT, meaning American NPT internal (female) thread, to a Gardena quick connector. The adapter is made from 304 stainless steel and is used when a part with a 1/2" NPT external thread needs to connect to a hose or water outlet with the Gardena system, for example for water to a brewing system or chiller.

What does FPT mean?
FPT stands for Female Pipe Thread, an internal NPT thread. NPT is the American pipe thread and has a different profile from European BSP.
Will it fit 1/2" BSP threads?
NPT and BSP should not be mixed, as the threads do not seal properly against each other. For BSP threads there is a separate 1/2" BSP to Gardena adapter.
How do I seal the thread?
NPT is a tapered thread and is sealed with PTFE tape or another thread sealant, as with any threaded fitting.
