Homebrewer LAB – Picnic Tap 2.1, FLOTit 2.0 and SPUNDit 3.0
Homebrewer LAB makes cold-side homebrewing gear: serving from the keg, clear beer from the keg and pressure fermentation. The products are handmade and tested in California. Choosing Homebrewer LAB products
Pouring straight from the keg: The Picnic Tap 2.1 connects directly to a ball lock keg without beer line and has built-in flow control (CPFR). You do not need to lower the pressure to pour without excess foam.
Clear beer from the first glass: The FLOTit 2.0 replaces the dip tube in a corny keg and floats near the top of the beer, so you draw above the sediment instead of from the bottom.
Pressure fermentation: The SPUNDit 3.0 Jellyfish releases CO₂ when the pressure reaches your set level, and fits pressure fermenters such as Apollo, Fermenter King and Fermzilla.
uKeg: If you own a GrowlerWerks uKeg, you can swap its tap for a Picnic Tap using a dedicated adapter.

What is the difference between Picnic Tap 2.0 and 2.1?
The Picnic Tap 2.1 is an improved version of the 2.0. It comes with a ball lock quick disconnect, spare twist tap, red O-ring and hex key. The spare gasket for the 2.0 is still available if you own the older tap.
Why use a floating dip tube in the keg?
A standard dip tube draws from the bottom of the keg, where the sediment settles, so the first glasses are cloudy. The FLOTit 2.0 draws from the top through two filters, giving you clear beer all the way down to the sediment.
What is the SPUNDit used for?
The SPUNDit is a spunding valve that holds a set pressure in the fermenter, so you can ferment under pressure and carbonate at the same time. Bubbles in the FERMonitor show that fermentation is active.
