Amundsen Ink & Dagger Modern Day IPA all-grain beer kit
Ink & Dagger Modern Day IPA is an IPA from Amundsen Bryggeri in Oslo, now available as an all-grain beer kit packed for us by the brewery. The beer is fruity, balanced and bitter, with distinct notes of citrus and tropical fruit. The kit is for all-grain brewers who want to make a complex, hop-forward IPA at home.
The hops in Ink & Dagger
Ink & Dagger is brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. Citra is known for a bright, fresh aroma of grapefruit and lime. Mosaic gives a more complex flavour with hints of berries and tropical fruit, and Simcoe has a deep, resinous aroma that adds an extra dimension. Together they give a good balance of bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Note: In this kit the hops are supplied in whole 50 g packs. You therefore need your own scale to weigh out the right amount of hops during brew day.

For quality and freshness, the malt is supplied uncrushed. If you do not already have one, we recommend investing in a grain mill so you have completely fresh ingredients on brew day.

Which hops are used in Ink & Dagger?

Why do I need a scale?
The hops are supplied in whole 50 g packs and are not portioned according to the recipe. You therefore need to weigh out the right amount for each hop addition.
How should the beer be fermented?
Ferment for 14 days at 19 °C with the two packs of AEB Fermoale AY-4 included.
Is Ink & Dagger available as a Fresh Wort Kit?
Yes. If you do not brew all-grain, Ink & Dagger is also available as a 20L Fresh Wort Kit with ready-brewed, water-adjusted wort where you only add the yeast.
