Frequently asked questions about the Breathing Bung
Do I also need an airlock?
No, the bung has a built-in valve that lets gas out and keeps outside air from getting in.
Which openings does it fit?
It fits openings with a diameter of 40–48 mm, including PET fermenters.
Why is it good for storage?
It has no water that can evaporate, unlike a standard airlock, so it works well when beer or wine is left to age for a long time.
